Tetra is a truly international quartet featuring our own Canadian Showtime Chorus Director Sandie Nason singing with three members of the Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus, from Saratoga Springs, New York.
Nancy Faddegon, tenor, is co-founder and director of the Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus. Previously, Nancy served for many years as Assistant Director of Capitaland Chorus. She was a member of 3-time Region 16 Quartet Champion InJoy and three time champion All the Rage! She works with husband Jack in their landscape contracting company. Nancy is an accomplished barbershop arranger and composer, and is thrilled when her quartet and chorus bring her songs to life. She has also arranged one of the Region's theme songs, "Kickin' it up a Notch", which will be featured in the IES program in 2008.
Leigh Anne Dorman, bass, is a long time Sweet Adeline. She started singing with a small chorus in her hometown in 1986, and was hooked from the first rehearsal. During those years, tenor was her part of choice, and she started quarteting right away. Later she began singing lead. Then, lo and behold, the bass part found its way into her heart, and the rest is blue!! Her "normal" life includes two wonderful daughters (yikes!!), a new home, and a new marriage. Last time we checked, she had not won the lottery, so she is still pursuing her work passion as the director of a rape crisis center.
Sandra Nason, lead, is founder and Master Director of the Canadian Showtime Chorus. Sandie is a certified faculty member of Sweet Adelines International, conducts music seminars and coaches choruses throughout North America.
In her other life, Sandie is a qualified psychotherapist with a Master's degree in Clincal Counseling. She loves her Beta Fish, Bob. Unfortunately, when we picked our name, we thought he was a Tetra. Oh well!
Jennifer Hunter, baritone, sang Baritone for three years in the Region 16 Champion Quartet All the Rage! In her past life, Jenn was an 8th grade social studies teacher, but gave it up to be a mommy to her son and daughter. Jenn and her family live in Saratoga Springs. Jenn is co-founder and currently the Team Coordinator for the chorus.
Watch Tetra on the Live Webcast from Honolulu, Hawaii on Wednesday, November 5th at 4:54 pm local (Ottawa) time using the Sweet Adelines Webcast
Following two fundraisers, on September 16th, 2008, presentation was made to Sandie, Jenn, Leigh Ann and Nancy (TETRA) to help with quartet expenses on their way to Hawaii.
Maika'i Pomaika'i Tetra! Good Luck Tetra! Canadian Showtime and Saratoga Soundtrack held send-offs for the Tetra quartet members this week at their respective rehearsals. We wish them the best!
